BAMBOO CRANE

This twist on the Manhattan cocktail was created by Joseph Akhavan for the 2011 Nikka Perfect Serve. The name is taken from the literal meaning of Nikka’s founder’s name in kanji : take (bamboo) + tsuru (crane).

INGREDIENTS:
  • 50 ml Nikka From the Barrel
  • 15 ml Carpano Antica Formula
  • 7,5 ml Sherry Pedro Ximenez
  • 2,5 ml Bonal
  • 1 dash of Peychaud’s Bitters
  • 3 dashes of Bob’s Abbotts Bitters

Pour ingredients into a mixing glass with ice.
Stir and strain into a chilled glass.
Express an orange zest and garnish with a single Maraschino cherry at the bottom of the glass.
